Aim

To provide you with a knowledge and understanding of the social, psychological and developmental factors which influence the teaching of health related activity to children (4-12 years).

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this topic, you will be able to:​

  1.  Describe the stages of learning and how successful learning is facilitated. 
     

  2. Discuss the importance of developing each child’s self esteem.
     

  3. Describe the stages of development and training.
     

  4. Discuss the developmental traits of each key stage (4-7, 7-9, 9-12) and the demands they place on the instructor.
