Aim

To familiarise you with the anatomy and function of the back and programming for back health.
 

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this section, you will be able to:

  1. Describe the anatomy and functions of the spine

  2. Discuss the risk factors for back pain

  3. Discuss methods of preventing back pain

  4. Describe the stages of osteoporosis and its effect on bone health

  5. Discuss and apply exercise programmes which contribute to good bone health
  6. ​Plan and prepare an informative and interesting 1 hour presentation on healthy eating for the general public using:

           Appropriate learning outcomes

    • A selection of suitable presentation methods

    • A suitable selection of supporting resources and materials
